Hzuaneri 31.5'' Wooden Dog Crate Furniture, Indoor Dog Kennel Dogs Cage for Small/Medium Dogs, Heavy Duty Dog Crates Decorative Pet House End Side Table TV Stand, White Brown DFC85114B

4.5 · 999 reviews

For a small or medium dog whose crate has to live in a living room, not a laundry room. The engineered wood shell doubles as an end table or TV stand, while a 0.4-inch iron pipe frame under the surface keeps it from being just a decorative box. The arch-door design is genuinely different from a wire crate, worth it only if you actually want the furniture look; skip it if you need something you can fold up and move.

About Hzuaneri Wooden Dog Crate Furniture

Real buyers repeatedly confirm the two core promises actually hold up: it looks like real furniture, not a crate in disguise, and it's genuinely usable as a TV stand, side table, or nightstand in a living room or bedroom without looking out of place. Multiple reviewers who expected the low price to mean a cheap look were surprised the engineered-wood-and-metal-bar build feels solid, and assembly, while a real two-person 40-60 minute job, goes smoothly thanks to labeled parts and pre-drilled holes.

The most genuine recurring complaint isn't about the furniture quality itself, it's that the solid wood top and back panel (versus an open wire crate) mean a dog can't see out in every direction, which occasionally means a dog raised on an open wire crate just won't willingly enter it even after the owner successfully builds and likes the piece. A secondary, less common complaint is inconsistent quality control on individual units.

The Honest Take

What I Like and What I Don't

What I like

  • #1 best seller in Furniture-Style Dog Crates on Amazon
  • Doesn't look like a kennel in a living room
  • 3-door design gives more access options than a single-door wire crate
  • Convincingly doubles as real furniture in daily use, reviewers specifically describe using it as a TV stand, coffee/side table, and nightstand
  • Assembly is manageable for two people despite the box being heavy, reviewers consistently report 40-60 minutes with clearly labeled, pre-drilled parts

What holds it back

  • Heavier and less portable than a folding wire crate
  • Sized for small/medium dogs only, not a large-breed option
  • The enclosed, solid-panel design means a dog can't see 360 degrees around them the way they can in an open wire crate, which occasionally results in a dog raised on a wire crate refusing to enter it at all
  • Quality control is inconsistent unit to unit: at least one buyer received a door with a visible gouge and misaligned screw holes, resolved with a partial refund

Is This For You?

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

Get it if…

You want a crate that genuinely passes as living-room furniture and you're willing to do a real 40-60 minute two-person assembly for it.

Skip it if…

Your dog is used to an open wire crate and may hesitate to enter a fully enclosed design, or you want guaranteed unit-to-unit consistency without any chance of a cosmetic defect.

The verdict

A furniture-style crate that mostly delivers on looking and functioning like real furniture, worth pairing with a plan B if your dog needs full visibility to feel settled inside it. For a soft, washable option instead, see our washable dog beds guide.

What Real Buyers Say

5.0

We recently bought the 39.4" Wooden Dog Crate Furniture and I'm honestly really impressed with it. The design is what really sold me though. It looks so much nicer than a traditional wire crate and actually blends in with our home decor. It also feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy like some other furniture-style crates can be.

The box is very heavy and bulky. It took about 45 minutes to put it together. It is your quintessential particle board kit, picture instructions only, no written directions. One of the front doors came with a gouge in the face. Then the screw holes did not line up with the holes on the doors. I contacted customer service and they provided a refund.

The dog crate was gorgeous and the perfect size but the dogs wanted nothing to do with it. We left it up for a couple weeks but they would not go near it. They've always had a wire crate so maybe because this one has a solid wood top and back panel they couldn't see out in a 360 direction. It looked awesome in our living room but we couldn't keep it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this sturdy enough for a dog that chews the frame?

It's rated anti-chew with an iron pipe frame under the wood, but it's built for the furniture look first. A dog that's already destroyed a standard crate is better served by a steel heavy-duty crate, not a furniture-style one.

Can it double as actual furniture?

Yes, that's the point of the design. It's built to work as a TV stand, end table, or nightstand while doubling as your dog's crate, not just a crate with a wood veneer.
